we live in little minutes and at the thought of losing them - moments they say will eventually come to you. had i known they will, i wouldn’t have bothered chasing. but nobody ever has that luxury, not in a world where dreaming meant always running out of time.
Everybody I've met who talks like this either has no self respect or is literally so dysfunctional they can't interact with other people in a normal way and the amazing thing is that none of them have "been extraordinary".
You should work exactly how much you feel like working.
For decades, biology textbooks have enshrined a simple rule: DNA is made by copying a template. After one enzyme unzips a DNA double helix into separate strands, another called a polymerase builds a complementary sequence, base by base, for each strand. Presto: two copies of the original DNA.
But new research into how bacteria defend themselves from viruses now shows this synthesis rule isn’t absolute.
Now, a team describes a bacterial enzyme that synthesizes DNA without a nucleic acid template, using its own structure as a guide.

excited to lead the charge for this year's cycle and paying forward the mission of GradMAP PH - to advance Filipino representation in science and beyond! 💛🖤❤️
we are recruiting mentees and mentors soon so, Filipino scholars, please keep an eye out for announcements!
We are thrilled to introduce the 2025-2026 Executive Committee! 🚀
As GradMAP steps into its sixth year, this new team is ready to build on the incredible legacy of the previous committee, whom we thank for their dedication and hard work. 💪
You know that thing that happens to you, a moment so profound it splits your life into two parts, a before and after. Grief is exactly that. You know you’ll never be the version of yourself that existed before. That person didn’t know how cruel this life could be.
That suffering is holy. A lot of it is man-made and avoidable. It’s not part of some bigger meaning or divine test. It’s not God’s plan or some higher purpose but the result of broken systems, neglect, and injustice.
How do cells clean up misfolded proteins when they divide?
This study finds that the cleanup crew includes the ER chaperone BiP and the proteasome, and kicks in right as cells finish dividing. Surprisingly, one major cell cycle regulator isn’t involved.
