For those thinking of protesting on 14 June and those lying about the military parade that day (saying it is for the President's birthday), I'd like to set the record straight.

The parade is the U.S. Army’s 250th Anniversary Grand Military Parade. It celebrates the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, founded on June 14, 1775, by the Second Continental Congress as the Continental Army.

Planning for the event started during the Biden Administration. It happens to coincide with President Trump’s 79th birthday, but the Army has emphasized the event focuses on its historical milestone, not a personal celebration.

As an Army veteran myself, I’m glad that the nation is celebrating this milestone and honoring all those who have served in this amazing institution.

If you have a patriotic bone in your body, or if you respect Army veterans at all, you will not be protesting on this important day.
