@AlexiLalas It doesn’t have to be, but what we’ve got now isn’t working. The mls, while an un-compelling product, IS strengthening the players from other markets, so they don’t seem to be terribly interested in growing talent either. I guess we’re just doomed to mediocrity.

@AlexiLalas It might not be ruining youth soccer but it’s not the optimal solution by a long shot. Just about every other 1st world country has figured out youth soccer though, and it’s generally not pay-to-play.
