Tennessee Governor Bill Lee (R) signed a resolution declaring June as "Nuclear Family Month" instead of Pride month.
Happy Nuclear Family Month, Tennessee!
In Tennessee, we recognize June as Nuclear Family Month.
God was clear about His design for humanity, and I’m grateful to live in a state that celebrates and supports that foundation.
.@chaseelliott, who has won the @NMPAonline Most Popular Driver Award for 8 consecutive years, is asking the fans who normally vote for him to vote this year for @KyleBusch. Elliott said the #NASCAR champion who died unexpectedly of sepsis deserved it. Elliott's father, Bill, did the same thing after Dale Earnhardt lost his life in the 2001 Daytona 500. The elder Elliott asked those who voted for him to vote for Earnhardt that year. They apparently honored his wishes because Earnhardt won the NMPA Most Popular Driver that year.
Kyle Busch had bacterial pneumonia for “days to weeks” before he died last week, according to a copy of the death certificate obtained by @TheAthletic on Wednesday. The document listed pneumonia and sepsis among a “chain of events” that caused his death. (w/@AndrejevAlex) https://t.co/Pzhitwbbr5
Not to fuel the whole divine nature narrative of NASCAR, but...this is just a wild coincidence and something to watch for.
The week after Dale Earnhardt died, Steve Park won, in a manner that just seemed meant to be.
And 1 week after Kyle's passing, we saw a win that just felt meant to be.
Likewise, THREE weeks after Dale's passing, Kevin Harvick would win at Atlanta.
So, I had to look...where will NASCAR be in EIGHT weeks after Kyle's passing? None other...than Atlanta...
And RCR has been known for good cars there lately, and we just saw them race the 33 with a driver who is really good at that style of racing.
Truly will be a weekend to watch and see if it can happen once again.

NASCAR moves at 200 mph. But when someone is hurting, it stops to comfort.
The NASCAR Family -- and it is indeed a family -- wrapped it arms around the Busch family, who Sunday sought comfort from grief at the place Kyle captivated us all.
The racetrack.
For SportsCenter, an essay on a 200 mph remembrance.
The race is official, @Daniel_SuarezG has won the Coca-Cola 600.
It is the FIRST time in @NASCAR history that all 3 National Touring Series races have been shortened by inclement weather and/or other factors in the same weekend.

I am trying not to post too much video from scrum all at once - I wanted to post this clip right away. You see the real @chaseelliott here... I asked him about @KyleBusch young son Brexton, a talented young race car driver without his hero dad to keep the tutoring up. Chase:
