For the record, had the NBA (correctly) retroactively assessed Wemby a Flagrant 1 for the Brunson play, he wouldn’t have been suspended! There would’ve been no penalty! It simply would mean his margin of error on questionable BS would be gone for Games 4-6.
Totally reasonable!
@RISKREWARD20@Adebayo_404@dhe3g Yeah for sure, and not trying to say or imply otherwise. But people are acting as if NYS took $4B of NYS tax payer money and gave it to NYC, which isn’t really accurate. Plus they will still pay it back, just over a longer period…which I’m not even saying is good.
@tikitakiya@Adebayo_404@dhe3g lol, I see we’re making stuff up now? The largest portion of this is owed to pensions, no NYS…which they will still pay just spread out over a longer amount of time. The rest was state approval for things like the pied-à-terre tax, or delayed classroom compliance…
@Adebayo_404@dhe3g Did you actually read the article past the headline? You’re acting like this was NYS sending a $4B check to NYC? They approved for delayed obligation spending over a longer time horizon…?
@dhe3g Almost no one in this thread has any idea what they are talking about. The deficit was closed primarily by delaying previously obligated spending which isn’t as amazing as people claim, but also the money “given to nyc by the state” was really just approval to delay obligations.
@emilykmay Friends who have different perspectives and lived experiences than you, different gender, background, geography etc. really enrich your life.
@brianorca@elonmusk By hide you mean explicitly state it as a plan in a 4 page document that you email them? Or to openly discuss the plan with them via email? That’s a weird way to hide something
@ancientlovesong 1) Night shift comments could have been phrased better but was more about how the staff have less drama in their lives (worse tv)
2) The DP comment was specifically about how he had ingrained sexism he was learning to look past, which should be encouraged, no?
Why haven't we heard from a SINGLE Democratic state about steps they're taking to counteract the post-VRA GOP power grabs in Louisiana and Alabama and South Carolina and Tennessee and Texas and North Carolina and Missouri and Florida? Is every Democrat asleep at the wheel? Do you think this is going to fix itself? Why is it so fucking difficult for Democrats to fight back? If you're in power in NJ, NY, MD, CO, IL, WA, OR, wake the fuck up and announce steps to redraw the maps so that Democrats are not drawn out of power forever.
@DrJesseMorse If you want to continued study of expanded indications for Ivermectin sure, but it’s unbelievably unprofessional to imply the use for ivermectin in these virus’s is supported in the way you claim. https://t.co/4311gxA5oE
@CultureCrave This is what the film industry needs. The skyrocketing budgets of film is killing risk and innovation. Great movies that make hundreds of millions are considered failures cause their budgets marketing was even more.
@fuqekgs Legitimately think one of the hardest parts of med school is moving to a new clinic/department every month and having to get to know everything and everyone again, form bonds only to then once again leave.
4 seasons in 5 years is a fair exchange for the not-so-great animation imo. I’d rather have this than wait three years for a new season like we did with arcane
