Agreed. Kimberly Brooks looks nothing like Mass Effect's Ashley Williams, yet she did a tremendous job with the character. Jean brought up a good point when she mentioned that they're using voice actors for mo cap work now, but if I might offer a rebuttal, Hollywood has traditionally used stuntmen and women to stand in for actors, so using similar to do mo cap should work just as well. The main reason I can see why they wouldn't would be to pinch pennies.
@DanticsOfficial That's why I like Minthara as a companion in Baldur's Gate 3--she tells it like it is, has her own views, and doesn't sugarcoat it. Give me at least one companion I despise, but I need to have to get the job done.
@Noirchick1 I've got to go with Ann Margaret although there have been some very attractive redheads who have graced television and film over the years.
@Noirchick1 I use that scene and the one with her and her roommate in my classes when we get to the 1920s as they showed the New American Woman-single, independent, working women, with her roommate being a single mother. Classic movie from the pre-Code days.
@PaulFox13 I'll take it and be grateful--means I won't have to run my AC so much. But we've still got about a month or so before we start to see cooler temps.
@miles_commodore The Rams had some very good ones over the years: Glenn Davis, Elroy, "Crazy Legs" Hirsch (He played halfback with Davis--in their day they were the "Greatest Show on Turf"), Eric Dickerson, Jerome Bettis played with the Rams, and, of course, Marshall Faulk.
AI detectors are flawed. You have to examine the flagged work alongside the student's other work, talk to the student, and what I like to do is give the student an opportunity to submit a 100% original rough draft or revise their paper. Also Grammarly and Copilot are baked into their word processing programs so the student is liable to get flagged even without doing anything more than revising their work.
At the time it made sense. Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Ditko, the other creative staff all either lived in the city or near it, so it was a common point of reference. Recognizable landmarks, and it was a good way to allow characters to meet easily because they were geographically close.
