Ss collaborated on a project to teach others about the regions of the US. Best comment of the project, “I learned so much from_____.” This is the best job! @PtownElem
Peer editing and revising was a success this week. Ss learned to give feedback that helped each other grow as writers! I even heard several say that they never thought of the ideas their classmate gave them.

When your Ss come to you with a club to save sea turtles, you jump in! I am SO impressed with these young people. They have roles, a goal, and the start of a presentation for their principal. This is all in the first meeting! Our kids are going to change the world!@PtownElem
Seeing Ss collaborate using context clues to identify the meaning of unknown words is magic! Listening to their conversations that include text evidence to write reading responses is even BETTER! SO PROUD! #pandapride@PtownElem
This has already been an AMAZING first week in 5th grade ELA. You know you have wonderful students when you ask them to write a minimum of 20 sentences, and they keep asking for more and more paper! Challenge accepted! They are showing their Panda Pride @PtownElem !
One of my all time favorite kids won third place in the MLK art contest with this piece and made a copy for me. I have hung it next to my front door in my home as a reminder to respect everyone’s journey.
