@EE Can I ask why this won’t renew? It says I need to top up to get it to do so; but already have credit. I don’t want to add more money un-necessarily. Thank you!
@bankofengland Working people won’t accept that they are poorer when those who are retired get inflation rated pension rise every year via the triple lock. Comments like this alienate you from uk-taxpayers. https://t.co/VZcbbVvGLE
@techmeetup : Where can we find out about future events in advance (dates, speakers, registration links etc)? This one doesn’t appear to be on https://t.co/xELxoy3cIx which looks a bit unloved tbh.
@davefarley77 Learn to manage upwards as ‘tech/team lead’ seems to be a mini-management role/point-person in a lot of orgs. I wouldn’t consider this a “promotion”. I have a dislike of hierarchy within teams; leading is not a role. Prefer seniors to coach personally!
Come on #octopusenergy - this isn’t good enough. I took the saving session hour seriously and minimised my energy use. I don’t appreciate being treated as average! Please sort this if you’d like further participation in the scheme (from me and wider customers)
I have a sense that a similar effect may occur between employers/HR and employees over time w.r.t pay/benefits/general conditions. Once breached the employee is moving on regardless. It might even trigger mass exodus - at team/department level.
So what's the lesson for businesses here?
- Watch for grumbling and LISTEN to it.
- Don't assume that because people have swallowed a price or service change that'll swallow another one.
- Treat user trust as a finite asset. Because it is.
@BCS_Edinburgh@bcs_apsg@bcs_it_leaders I’d like to have attended this (and similar) talks but need to plan in advance due to family commitments. It would be handy if you could tweet with more notice in the future? A reminder on the day is also good 👍. Tx
I’m not convinced github is a net positive w.r.t productivity. It tends to come with enforced async PR workflow inc associated downsides. Their UI experience for PRs could also do with significant work.
This got me racking my brain to think of "dev tools" (arbitrarily defined by me as "internal-facing software that improves dev productivity") that are widely adopted by both startups and enterprises.
Maaybe GitHub, though it's far from a given in enterprise orgs?
What else?
