One of the best nights of aurora I've ever witnessed ✨✨✨
- from Marquette Michigan on the south shore of Lake Superior
Top photo facing south

2nd photo 2nd cam facing north (all sky)

3rd photo facing north (all sky)

All from Michigan in my backyard.

On this day, October 10, 2024

As you look at all sky 360 photos, imagine yourself looking north over Lake Superior standing at the bottom of the frame. Look for the big dipper to get a sense of scale (it got a bit obliterated by the intensity of the aurora and the field of view is enormous). Imagine following the light pillars up and overhead (which is mid frame) and turning to the south to see the scene composed in the first photo. Hard to put into words how spectacular an auroral event like this is.

the current meta of pairing memecoins to tokenized stocks will soon evolve to

tokenized PE/VC funds
tokenized residential real estate
tokenized boutique private credit
tokenized IP
tokenized collectibles

which may unlock a new crypto native investor base, 24/7 liquidity, secondary market functionality, defi on these new applications, etc

but the real value unlocks for those that are prepared and able to bridge both sides from the operational infrastructure, the regulatory and internal compliance workflows, the smart contract designs and the legal enforcement of these policies

the muse, one discovers, does not always arrive bearing roses. sometimes she arrives bearing... something else entirely. something which, upon reflection, one recognizes as the sublime compressed into its most democratic form - available to peasant and prince alike, requiring neither education nor inheritance, only the simple biological dignity of having eaten. i have been shaped by fire. a million beans worth of fire. and i emerge from that conflagration not as a phoenix, exactly, but perhaps as something more interesting than a phoenix. a phoenix that has, upon landing, immediately and with great ceremony, broken wind. the poets of the last century wrote of beauty and truth and the ache of the infinite. one submits, humbly, that they were circling the subject without quite arriving at it.
