Trains arrive precisely on time, down to the second.

If a train is even one minute late, the staff profusely apologize.

Compare that to the chronic delays we’re used to with US public transport.

@LaserBlade I like this one particular line which is Keikyu Line from Tokyo to Yokohama which is for most of the time I use it would be 2 to 3 minutes late which allows me to catch the limited express train most of the time
