I’m seeing a lot of Madrid fans talking about Negreira by sharing Messi’s famous handball against Getafe, but the funny thing is this Van Nistelrooy handball happened in the exact same season.

Unlike Messi’s goal, which didn’t win us the game or the league, this goal won Madrid the game, avoided a yellow for Nistelrooy, which prevented him from getting suspended for their next game where he scored a brace in a 2-2 draw.

The impact was much bigger, especially considering Madrid won that league on goal difference. They would've almost certainly lost this league to us if the ref didn't give this goal.

Yet another league title robbed from us in the "Negreira era" alongside the famous 13/14 one.
