An incredible tribute to my former staff member Asal Sayas. Even in the face of a cancer diagnosis, she worked tirelessly for more federal research dollars and earlier diagnoses to combat the rise of this disease. She made a real difference and never stopped fighting for others.

Congress is planning votes TODAY on a Continuing Resolution (CR) that proposes dramatic cuts to critical cancer research. The bill slashes research funding by 57% for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) at the Department of Defense. That is an $859 million loss in high-impact cancer research that saves lives.
Please call your House Representative and urge them to vote protect the CDMRP. Find contact information for your Representative here: https://t.co/MPHSUjDhut
