I was duped. The past 14 months have been betrayal after betrayal. It sucks admitting I got it wrong. No, I’m not saying Kamala would have been better. But Trump is a politician, a glorified snake oil salesman. He is not God nor should he be worshipped as one. And we need to hold our politicians accountable.. ESPECIALLY the ones we voted for and sacrificed friendships, jobs and family over.

Trump is now attempting to bully his base into supporting another reckless foreign war, ignore the Epstein files and now, accept data centers or else you want to be “backwards and poor”. I’ve never been in an emotionally abusive relationship… and I’m not about to start now.

I have to say something there. There is a clip circulating WILDLY among conservative commentators and right-wing pundits of a woman who spoke this morning at a press conference with myself and Abdul.

She had never spoken at a press conference before. Beforehand, she shared with me that she was really nervous. But she told me it was important for her to be there as a UAW member because she believed in using her voice for her fellow members and for working families.

Doing something new is HARD. And scary.

She started speaking and got stage fright. What you can't see in the video is that under the podium, she reached back. When I saw it, I grabbed her hand. Abdul did as well. We both stepped forward to stand with her.

But the way you all are tearing her apart. God forbid anyone ever step out of their comfort zone. God forbid anyone ever try.

It's callous, cruel, and it's no wonder why so many people absolutely despise this moment that we're in. Because God forbid you're not perfect. God forbid you show fear. God forbid you mess up.

I am always proud to stand with people using their voice even when they're scared, for trying something new, for stepping out of their comfort zones.

We need a lot more of her - people wanting to use their voice even when it shakes - and a lot less keyboard warriors who could care less about how needlessly cruel they are if it means getting a like or a retweet or some views.

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.

This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public. 

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

My uncle Dude was shot down by the Nazis when he was 19 years old in 1942 his body never found my great grandfather John Buckhold fought in the Civil War with the Ohio 111th and lived to be an old man in his 90s.

My dad was an editor at Walt Disney in 1939 and when the war started, he joined the Navy and moved to DC and worked in the top secret naval aviation scientific Photo Lab with Edward Steichen at the Helm. They processed the photographs and film from D-Day. They made mosaic prints of battlefields back to the Civil War.

Very sad. A great talent exploited over and over. I wonder to what degree writing her memoir and having to relive these horrors for book PR contributed. She wanted to own her story. But scrutiny is brutal. Reminds me of Matthew Perry dying after his painful memoir. But worse for Hayden Panettiere because the predators that hurt her are still out there.

It is SO sad hearing of the tragic passing of Hayden Panettiere, an incredibly talented actor who had so much more to give at the early age of 36.

What's truly sad is to hear that she struggled mightily with depression and substance abuse... that should never be a death sentence.

Often, when we think of celebrities, we imagine they must have it made because of the fame and fortune, but they suffer as badly, if not worse, as we do.

In the show "Heroes," she played the Cheerleader, and the slogan was "Save the Cheerleader, save the world."

More emphasis needs to be placed on the importance of mental health, and getting treatment for it, to keep our young folks tethered to a hopeful existence.

It slays me that even now there are STILL people afraid to say what Trump really is. I suppose it’s bcuz it’s difficult to wrap your arms around the fact that the President of the United States is a traitor to this country, that he’s America’s enemy, that he works for Putin, and that he’s NOT on the side of the free world. Yes, this is all difficult to acknowledge. And it reflects poorly upon us as a people that we put such a person in power.
