@SportsSturm So a few years ago, I was consulting for a company in the finance world. I noticed one day my boss at the time had all of these records on the wall when we talked on Teams. I said oh you're a musician, "yeah, I use to be the drummer in Wheatus."
@SportsSturm I am a sports nerd like you, and casually dropped the line to my wife. She was like, "you know the song they are famous for, Teenage Dirtbag". Then I later realized who he was hahaha.
This game had so many twists and turns, with some questionable calls along the way.
My takeaways for both teams:
UNT - they’re averaging 41.6 points against G6 opponents. They have the nucleus on offense to do some real damage on the backs of Jackson & White. Neal Brown has done a good job of putting this team together and making a threat early. Defensively, they’ve given up 49 & 44 against their last 2 G6 opponents. They’ve gotta sort that defense out if they want to have a real shot at winning the conference. Winning a game on the road like that has to give them momentum going forward.
Tulsa - they’re a really good football team. Their offense showed up last night and deserves big credit. Baylor Hayes returning certainly helped their fluidity on that side of the ball. Defensively, they were disappointing in the second half, giving up 35 points (+OT). They still created takeaways to give their offense chances. This team will certainly improve upon last seasons win total. They’re not a team I’d want to play.
