Y’all gotta stop fear mongering with the antibiotic resistance response to people who are on Doxy for PEP. This concern yall have is not severe enough to outweigh the benefits for people at high risk of recurrent STIs. Plus there’s other situations doxy is used DAILY like acne patients for years. Way more exposure than someone on DOXYPEP. Plus resistance doesn’t mean you develop a resistance to everything - it’s organism specific. Heavy exposure still doesn’t mean that doxy will stop working all together.

1pm: cardiac cath on a STEMI → triple vessel disease → convert to CABG
3pm: read a blood film for schistocytes
5pm: deliver a baby
