@JBishie My take is they are going to honor multiplatform contracts already done, and probably keep the big Activision Blizzard franchises on everything as well. Everything else goes exclusive moving forward as long as they sell
@ManaByte I don’t think it’s that simple. We have some big grossing films since then. I think the over saturation of Star Wars and the superhero genre play into it, 3D having its moment and falling off did as well on top of all this
@MoreLimitless I think it’s gonna depend on demand for XV and Strangers. I don’t think XVI is gonna work for it because it really pushed better hardware. I actually think the XIII trilogy is a lock sometime down the line since it’s the only one not playable on modern systems
@MyTimeToShineH Not actually making real TV shows till it was too late (some of these weren’t bad but felt more like 6-8 part movies). Everything except for Daredevil Born Again, Wandavision, and Agatha felt like movies they weren’t overly confident in.
@astaranx They’re getting ripped for mixed messaging. Sony was getting heat when they pulled out of PC too. That said, Microsoft needs to do this we need them to really compete in the higher end space or Sony is going to be a problem
@MattWallace888 I’ll be honest how many people in the stands put their hands over their hearts? I’m gonna guess less than 40 percent from what I’ve seen over the years. If we aren’t expecting ourselves to do this why expect players
@ManaByte I mean they’ve looked like late 90s Sega for a decade now. Their best console was known for breaking after a few years, had one of the worst intros for a new console following that and bought all those studios with shockingly little results. They’ve kind of earned it
@supergeekmike I respectfully disagree, I just don’t think these movies make the same impact. The issue is the sequels aren’t cohesive so it’s a weird mish mash of ideas and it just ends in a really bad way
@Cavinumab It’s been a general issue since the first one to me. 2 and 3 are aimless searches for a person or power you know isn’t there and stopping the movie bad guy or a Maleficent/Pete scheme. The world plot generally stops if an org member appears for an interlude
@PalmyrPar They are yin and yang to me. TPM is stronger in bringing fresh ideas and visually more interesting. It also whiffs on things and has issues in basic filmmaking. TFA is the opposite extremely derivative but it’s a well enough made film on a fundamental level
@KYE_X__ They are actually better than good, if 2 had critical mode day 1 and the post game stuff its just great. I ran through 3 recently with a bunch of procodes taking out the power ups mainly I was shocked how great the experience was from a challenge standpoint
@Jorge96j@predator467 Abram’s film was derivative for sure but he got the assignment of opening the new era with some interesting setups and good casting. Johnson made an interesting movie in spots that missed what it should be doing. This trilogy needed someone up top keeping things on schedule
@jakonian The problem is each installment makes the one that came before retroactively worse. TFA has solid pieces and mysteries the next installment can use….TLJ decides to use almost none of it and flirts with interesting ideas….that immediately get undone by TRoS.
@JaeGamez It depends on what you want to do, a 7 style remake series I’d say 4, 6, or 8; a straight up just copy and paste with modern production values 9 or 10 would probably benefit
@CyberKevin_FR@NostalgiaVerse7 I agree on this, they gave me the best bits and brought some new things to the table (gameplay especially) I’m not going to lose sleep if not every detail gets redone the same way as 1997
