With every new archaeological discovery, historians and archaeologists owe @Graham__Hancock a bigger apology.

Years ago, when we first met, he told me: "The Amazon is a man-made garden that once hosted large, advanced, and highly organized societies."

And here we have evidence now of a 2,500-year-old society whose peak population has been estimated at 1.25–3 million people - comparable to, or even larger than, ancient Rome.

As technologies like LiDAR, satellite imaging, AI, and advanced genomics continue to transform archaeology, I believe we'll end up rewriting significant parts of human history.

Kudos to Graham for challenging conventional thinking long before many of these discoveries were made.
