Over the past few weeks, my posts have understandably been dominated by the @enhanced_games
While it is certainly one of my most important passion projects, at @ApeironInvests we are involved in a much broader range of exciting ventures spanning our five core themes:
· Biotech – with a focus on mental health and “consumer biotech” and, most importantly, psychedelics
· Crypto & Fintech,
· DeepTech (AI, Robotics, DefenseTech, and SpaceTech),
· Sports, Entertainment & Hospitality, and
· Natural Resources
In my deep-dive conversation with @fuelfive for his "Progress by Fifty Years" podcast, we explore many of these topics through a broader macro lens - including some of the biggest questions of our time, for which I certainly do not claim to have all the answers, but hopefully a few useful ideas.
For example, we discuss why fear - not AGI - may be the greatest risk of the coming decade, why a post-capitalist future could end up looking more like a Roman Republic powered by robots, and why human enhancement technologies should ultimately be available to everyone.
Check it out and let me know whether you agree - or where you disagree.
"We were always a very poor imitation of a machine."
Progress ep05 is live with @C_Angermayer, founder of atai Life Sciences and co-founder of @enhanced_games.
We discuss why fear is the real risk of the next decade, why post-capitalism looks like a Roman Republic with robots, and why the Enhanced Games might be the Woodstock of bodily sovereignty.
🚨BREAKING: A cognitive scientist from MIT has mathematically proven that evolution guarantees we see zero percent of true reality, that most consciousness in the universe exists without a body, and that non-human intelligences with a wider window on reality than ours can reach in and manipulate it the way a programmer manipulates a video game.
Donald Hoffman (@donalddhoffman) is a cognitive scientist at UC Irvine who has spent 40 years building a mathematical theory of the observer. His work was cited by John Wheeler in the "It From Bit" paper. He studied under Marvin Minsky at MIT, spent two decades secretly meeting with Francis Crick to study consciousness, and has nine specific mathematical conjectures on the table that would derive general relativity, quantum field theory and the Big Bang from a single framework. The top high-energy physicists in the world, Nima Arkani-Hamed and Nobel laureate David Gross, are already saying spacetime is doomed. Hoffman thinks he knows what replaces it.
This interview is the first time he has publicly laid out what his mathematical model explains about alien life, embodiment and the structure of reality.
It already derives time dilation and quantum wave functions directly from differences in observer window size. Physics has spent a century failing to solve the measurement problem because it has been looking in the wrong place. The observer has to come first, and no physicalist framework can get you there.
A consciousness with a larger observer window has access to the underlying structure of our reality in ways we can't perceive or counter. A craft going Mach 40 instantaneously in our headset could be a leisurely maneuver in theirs.
The implications for UAP and alien life are immense.
Embodiment, being locked into a body with fingers and toes as your only interface with the world, is a probability zero anomaly in the full space of possible minds. He also says current large language models are dumber than cucumbers. His new framework, the recursive trace logic, is a completely different architecture, and some of the biggest names in frontier AI have already come to him about it.
The framework has no ceiling, and the implication is a single unified consciousness exploring itself through an unbounded number of perspectives, each one capable of waking up.
Death, in this framework, is just the closing of an icon on the desktop.
Full conversation is live now.
Just a heads-up on what I believe are the two biggest milestones for @ataibeckley in the remainder of the year (hard to believe we're already nearly halfway through 2026).
Russell Index Inclusion:
$ATAI is expected to be added to the Russell index family at the next rebalancing on June 26, 2026. Our U.S. redomiciliation is paying off. Index inclusion should drive meaningful passive and benchmark-related buying into the stock.
VLS-01 data:
The near-term catalyst I am personally most excited about is the VLS-01 (DMT) Phase 2b readout expected in the second half of 2026. IMO many investors focus almost exclusively on BPL-003, overlooking the fact that VLS-01 is only about a year behind in development. Needless to say, I remain extremely optimistic about the therapeutic potential of DMT.
And, of course, BPL-003 and VLS-01 are just two of many value-driving programs in ATAI's pipeline, which also includes assets such as EMP-01 and several other promising compounds.
For those who missed it, here is my broader fundamental investment case for ATAI:
Believe it or not, Ryan Lochte is actually a big fan of the Enhanced Games.
He does not see a difference between an athlete that breaks a world record on PEDs and a clean athlete.

It's pretty crazy.
Our inaugural @enhanced_games engaged more than one billion (!) people worldwide.
For several days, we dominated the global internet conversation. And these figures do not even include Roku streaming data, which Roku does not publicly disclose. Roku alone made the broadcast available to more than 100 million households across North America.
As I've said before, Enhanced Games is an extraordinary "attention and emotion" gathering machine. We now have the opportunity to convert this massive brand awareness into both sports-related revenues (sponsoring, future media rights) and consumer/telehealth revenues.
What's even more remarkable is that all of this has been achieved with only marginal (media) investment, as a significant portion of the event itself is funded through sponsorships.
Reaching this level of global brand awareness would typically cost a new sports league hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars. Instead, we've built it organically and efficiently - creating substantial value while preserving capital for our $ENHA investors.
Enhanced Games captured the world’s attention.
• 1B+ people engaged worldwide over 7 days
• 4M+ live views across owned + partner platforms
• 1M+ hours of live competition watched globally
• 1.9M live viewers driven by top Twitch streamers
Built to scale attention. Delivered it at global sporting scale. $ENHA

Plasma One is already the fastest stablecoin neobank to hit $1m in weekly volume. We will also be the fastest to $10m, $100m and $1b.
P1 is hitting new records for active users and spenders every single day. And we are barely getting started.
June will mark the end of the beginning.
What we have planned for our brand and growth is going to pull more people into Plasma One and stablecoins than anyone is expecting.
So enjoy the early numbers. The early growth. The early experiments.
It is still day one for P1.
@og_miracles@ZoomerOracle Telehealth providers like $ENHA and $HIMS should benefit significantly as/if/when medically approved performance-enhancing therapies, such as testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and certain peptides, become more widely accepted by society.
I hear you.
That said, I would argue that we framed it correctly from the very beginning. We consistently communicated that we expected between one and five world records to be broken, and we always emphasized that the equally exciting story was athletes like Megan Romano competing against - and beating - their younger selves. I literally said that in almost every interview.
However, I also recognize that many people only saw the headlines - “Steroid Olympics” and similar soundbites - and therefore came in with very different / higher expectations with respect to world records.
The way we correct that is by continuing to tell the story, doing podcasts like this one, and showing people the actual results.
The event was a huge success - financially, in terms of viewership and attention, and in terms of proving our core thesis.
And we're only getting started.
There is much more to come, and I believe the announcements ahead will be received very positively.
Lastly, I don't think the market is rational here. I think it is rather driven by FUD than facts. And that is exactly where the opportunity lies for those willing to look at the facts.
Great discussion with @MacGillivrayCPA on all things @enhanced_games
The most interesting conversations happen when the FUD is at its peak.
We discuss what I believe the market is missing with respect to $ENHA, and explain where I believe this story is headed.

WATCH: @InTheAssembly landed an EXCLUSIVE interview with @enhanced_games Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, @C_Angermayer.
Listen to his thoughts on the recent inaugural Enhanced Games and where the telehealth business $ENHA is headed from here.
Skip to 2:00 for the interview.
I believe the @enhanced_games have the potential to evolve into one of the most valuable new sports franchises created in decades.
And I believe we can build a massive telehealth business on top of that - with extremely low, potentially near-zero, customer acquisition costs driven by organic global attention.
Were the first Games perfect? Of course not. Nothing ever is.
But they were an extraordinary start - including financially, with more than $32 million in sponsorship revenue secured and billions of eyeballs reached globally.
And we are only getting started.
We will continue improving, iterating, and scaling.
Increasing the prize for breaking Usain Bolt’s 100m world record to $10 million was only the first of many major announcements on the road to the 2nd annual Enhanced Games.
And there is so much more coming.
