Britain just told homeowners: leave it empty for 6 months and the council TAKES your keys.
You still “own” it. THEY collect the rent. Give it to a family “in need.” For 7 years.
They INSIST this is not confiscation. This is EXACTLY how the Bolsheviks ABOLISHED private property.
@Aduray360@FT You can go to China and Rusia without a visa. You can live and travel all over Latam, If you go to Iran, as an argentinian you'll be safe. if there is a nuclear war in Europe / US you will be safe there. Also: empanadas, wine, beautiful women, asado and soccer. Maybe u'll find
In 2008, the EU's economy was bigger than America's.
Today the US is 45% bigger, and Americans produce almost twice as much per person.
What hurt Europe most: energy, regulation, or missing big tech?
I'm French 🇫🇷.
I was born in Paris.
I spent 25 years there.
But now: I don't even want to know what happens in that hellhole 💀⚰️.
Not “troubled.” Not “declining.” Not “going through a difficult period.”
No. A HELLHOLE.
A country where everything is dirty, expensive, hostile, bureaucratic and permanently dysfunctional.
You pay absurd taxes for public services that increasingly behave as if providing a service were an unreasonable personal request.
Paris is noise, aggression, filth, traffic, strikes, scaffolding, sirens, queues, broken infrastructure and the constant sensation that every basic task has been deliberately redesigned to waste your time.
Nothing works without friction.
Nothing happens without paperwork.
Nothing can be fixed without a committee, a consultation, a union dispute, three administrative layers and somebody explaining why expecting normality is politically problematic.
The state takes more, delivers less, and compensates for the difference with lectures.
Every few weeks something burns, something stops running, somebody blocks something, somebody smashes something.
France is sinking into barbarity.
I spent 25 years there.
That's enough.
Netherlands new tax system 2028
Stocks: 36% realized gains tax
Crypto: 36% unrealized gains tax
Physical gold: 36% unrealized gains tax
Physical silver: 36% unrealized gains tax
The debasement trade is punished. The ladder is being pulled up. It's over
@cataortizco@Harvard Y que hacemos con el EGO? Muchos podrian decirte que has gastado mucho dinero en aprender algo que ya no sirve. Espero que hayas hecho muchas relaciones porque es para lo unico que hoy valen estas instituciones.
France WILL NOT default!
Nor will Japan, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
Expecting these countries to stop paying, or more importantly, to stop rolling over their debt means you are preparing for the wrong Armageddon.
Sovereign countries that issue debt in their own currencies can ultimately create more money to meet their debt and interest obligations. That is true for Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
But what about France?
France has the Banque de France, but the ECB controls monetary policy and the euro money supply. Yet, as the European debt crisis showed, eurozone policy, including monetary policy, is ultimately shaped by the need to prevent its weakest links from breaking the system.
And today, France is increasingly becoming that weak link, not least because of its sheer size.
But here comes the important part.
What should worry you most is the existential shift that accompanies the extreme measures required to keep the debt-driven system from collapsing.
Fiscal dominance, financial repression, currency debasement. Call it whatever you want. The sheer scale of money creation and yield suppression required to keep an ever-growing debt mountain sustainable risks creating relentless inflationary pressure and should force you to rethink both the value of money and the role of debt in your portfolio.
It is precisely because France won’t be allowed to default that you should worry.
Don’t run for the hills.
Run for scarce assets that cannot be printed or issued at will.
@PeterSchiff Everyone is talking about bond yields, but no one is mentioning the elephant in the room: our unsustainable deficit. It is time to cut spending; we cannot keep looking the other way forever.
We own a French company that makes fighter jets. Demand right now is off the charts. They could probably have 10 to 15 years of orders.
We asked them why they wouldn't boost production. Did they not have the factory space?
They said they have plenty of space. But the second they hire more people, they can't lay them off. Because of that, they're not hiring more.
When every hire is a lifetime commitment, companies stay small, and new companies don't get started.
Look at the number of startups in Western Europe compared to the United States.
The protection of workers did not protect workers in the end, because you stop creating new jobs.
What is important is not so much how long you live as whether you live a meaningful life. This doesn’t mean accumulating money and fame, but being of service to your fellow human beings. It means helping others if you can, but even if you can’t do that, at least not harming them.
SI MILEI REELIGE EL PAIS VA A SER IRRECONOCIBLE EN 2031

Wow.
Eleven EU member states, including three of the largest (Germany, Italy and Poland), have told the EU to stop making new laws for at least a year, and to instead review existing laws to simplify and remove bad regulations.
