'I'm sorry, everyone': Boom Panadda arrested

For years, she was a familiar face helping flood victims and raising donations for those in need. On Friday, former Miss Thailand Boom Panadda Wongphudee found herself in police custody.

Panadda was arrested over allegations that donations to her Do Good Organisation Foundation had been misused, including funds allegedly diverted from their intended charitable purposes. She faces three charges: public fraud, money laundering and offences under Thailand's Computer Crime Act.

"I'm willing to enter the legal process," she told reporters upon arriving at police headquarters, repeatedly apologising: "I'm sorry, everyone."
