@EdwardJDavey Good idea. And also withdraw that royal invitation.
But on this platform why invite comments? Those like mine won’t be seen, and automated pro-trump attacks are prioritised!
@visitjamie@BBC What a powerful, moving film @visitjamie and @YousefHammash . Thank you so much for this rare opportunity to hear inside stories from Gaza despite the heavy censorship. Sadly we see the attempts to hide the truth continue in the organised responses to you and the film on X.
@CalumMillerLD It’s heartbreaking this family was killed by air strikes in November 2023. Now, at this delicate stage, blame is unhelpful. It’s time to acknowledge the suffering of 80 years in this area - with British complicity - and speak out loudly for justice, peace and the rule of law.
There is an urgency to this moment - and every Democratic official and every patriotic American must act like it.
There is a fraud being perpetuated on our nation.
It's not too late. We can still stop it. But we have work to do. Urgent work.
So grateful to my dear friend and sister Bishop Mariann Budde for bearing witness to the love and mercy and compassion of our God. This is what it looks like to speak the truth in love.
Friend in #Gaza writes:
Today, the 1st day of the armistice, I and my family were able to see my university, & the scene was like a thunderbolt. Especially the library building in which I work as its director - completely burned, & its ceilings destroyed from inside.

I’ve been critical of Starmer on here. I see now in plain sight what the alternative is and it is repulsive. It is terrifying. It is morally repugnant - and if an ideology like this gets to take hold it will destroy this country. So no more friendly fire from me.
Once again asking why Board of Deputies for British Jews is doing another of their statement posts about Israel?
Being Israeli & being a British Jew are two separate things. Antisemitic to conflate them.
If they were representing Judaism, they would speak out against genocide.
Important: Monday 16th debate in Parliament on Palestine:
1) on the immediate recognition of the state of Palestine
2) on the immediate revoking of all arms export licenses to Israel
Urge your MPs to take part.
We can’t ignore the Gaza
catastrophe

Displaced people in #Gaza need protection from the rain and cold. Only around 23% of this need has been met, leaving 945,000 people at risk of exposure this winter.
UNRWA continues to provide support, distributing plastic tarpaulins and installing tents to offer temporary shelter and protection from the harsh conditions.
Aid is urgently required to address the overwhelming needs as the crisis deepens.

Fantastic speech from the courageous Juliet Stevenson.
She’d likely deny she was being courageous but in a time when so many ARE staying silent, and actively choosing that silence, it takes courage to put one’s head above the parapet.
Thank you, Juliet.
