@dark1x It's really sad to see a company that was known for it's physical media history do this. Of all the companies to do this, from DVDs on console, Blu-ray media and many other older formats. It's like Sony want to wipe their history.
@PlayStationUK I see you are getting the Don Mattrick moment out of the early so ps6 announcement doesn't have to suffer this. Thanks for all the memories Sony, but the cycle ends with ps5.
@PlayStation Wow, so that's how I end up leaving the PlayStation ecosystem. Is it THAT difficult to offer a choice to consumers Sony?
I'd support a new console from any other manufacturer that places a 100% mandate for physical media.
Too then, there's other hobbies I suppose.
@xMBGx I started doubting the Sony brand when studio Liverpool closed. This just further confirms the Sony on old, the brand that wants to make great games first and foremost died a long time ago. It's now a Sunday market for investor fetish.
Whoever put all that effort to recompile the wipeout 1 source code and add in modern collisions, improved lighting, analogue support and put it all up in github (phantom edition), you have my gratitude. I am having so much fun playing this classic nearly everyday. It's awesome.
@OddworldInc Milk. I mean I am totally screwed if I can't make my tea. It's as if I am about to be unplugged from the matrix. Think of a world without tea, it'll be so Odd.
I haven't bought a game since gt7. And that is still in the packaging. Just can't get excited about the games nor the games industry at large atm π
On the other hand, I've been playing older games, realising how much we've lost along the way.

This never gets old, only more futuristic as time goes on. I think I'll do every combination for each team after unlocking the full championship.

This "impossible to decouple from Fujitsu" sentiment comes from those that do not have creative vision. Ofc it's possible, it's a question of, does the government have the strength to do it.

A full and fair compensation would be to find and put those who deliberately carried out the injustice into prison and rob them of their time and credibility @PostOffice. You don't get to walk away from this with financial compensation.
