Frustrated with Tesla’s FSD? Here’s my nitpicking saga—these are minor gripes in an otherwise awesome system:

•Parking Precision Failures: FSD can’t reverse one car into my garage spot or back the other precisely into the driveway—needs spot-on positioning every time.

•Speed Limit Blind Spots: Ignores neighborhood signs near intersections, invents higher speeds across the area. Even the slowest profile demands disengagement to stay safe.

•School Zone Confusion: Timed signs baffle it; enforces lower limit through a 4-way stop, ignoring the post-school higher speed sign, creating chaos.

•Suboptimal Routing: Always picks the shortest neighborhood path with a stop sign and left turn—instead of a smoother right turn that skips it entirely.

•Needless Detours: Skirts a graceful sweeping left on the main road by going straight, sharp 90-degree left, and two extra stop signs—only to rejoin the original path. Bug reports and emails ignored for three years.

That said, FSD would drive me just fine except for the speed problems after Tesla removed max speed options. I love it most of the time and wish more people knew how awesome it truly is! 🚗💨

Beware @CareCredit / @SynchronyBank: Set autopay to “Statement Balance,” but on 1/21 it only paid the minimum. Promo ended 1/29—if I hadn’t paid manually today, I’d owe all deferred interest since opening. Common trap—autopay often defaults to minimum on promo plans. Maybe WOW, if you compare it to previous versions that had just blocked the intersection.

Unfortunately, it is a perfect example on how timid and skittish FSD has gotten. The car had all the right and time to continue through the intersection after already having crossed the hold line during the green/yellow arrow. Not to say that there was a long yellow phase, but in a big city like Berlin, we pile in three cars into an intersection during a long yellow arrow to get them all through it as it turns red. You don’t stay in the intersection or back up to clear it.
