In December of 2024, I spent a day on set as an extra in The Madison. The next day I went to see my mom — and I didn't know it would be the last time. I had no idea what was right in front of our family, but the hardest of days were just ahead.
I had no idea what The Madison was about, though I knew I was at a wake. It's airing now. And my phone has been going off — people I haven't heard from in years, around the world, texting me a frozen screenshot. Just: "Is that you???" "I need your autograph" (lol) Every single one turned into a real conversation, a real connection. A video call. A visit.
Prayers continue to carry me, but here's what I keep thinking about: God works in mysterious ways. Twenty people reached out in a week because of a few seconds in the background of someone's TV.
Connection doesn't expire. It just goes quiet. Who came to mind while you read this? Reach out to them today.
@paramountplus@taylorsherida and the crew of The Madison. What a show, with impact more than you might know. Thank you for this gift. - John Cornelsen
