Vector Databases Explained | GenAI, LLM Search & AI‑Native Data Platforms
Vector databases are the backbone of Generative AI and LLM‑powered applications.
In this video, we deep‑dive into vector databases in 2025, explaining why they have become essential for semantic search, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and AI‑native data platforms.
🔍 What you’ll learn (vector‑focused):
What vector databases are and how they work
Why LLMs and GenAI need high‑dimensional vector search
How vector databases differ from relational and NoSQL systems
Where traditional databases fail for semantic similarity search
How CAP & PACELC influence vector database design
Why serverless and auto‑scaling vector databases fit AI workloads
Managed vs self‑hosted vector databases and data compliance trade‑offs
This video is designed for data engineers, ML engineers, AI engineers, and cloud architects building LLM pipelines, RAG systems, and GenAI platforms.
🎯 Why vector databases matter in 2025
Modern AI applications depend on:
Fast embedding similarity search
Low‑latency LLM retrieval
Cost‑efficient AI‑scale infrastructure
Choosing the wrong data store can break your GenAI relevance, latency, and cost model.

Capital outlay up ~22% to ₹2.19 lakh crore for new weapons, platforms & modernization.
Focus on upgrading technology across the Army, Navy & Air Force.
🌍 Foreign Aid & Geopolitics
MEA budget raised to ₹22,118 ($2.3 billion) crore.
Chabahar Port (Iran): ₹0 allocation for the first time, amid renewed US sanctions; India has already paid its full $120 million commitment (no dues pending).
👉🏻Aid cuts:
Bangladesh: down to ₹60 crore
Maldives & Myanmar: cut by ₹50 crore each
👉🏻Aid increases:
Afghanistan: raised to ₹150 crore
Mongolia: jump from ₹5 crore to ₹25 crore (likely for oil refinery support)
‼️Neighbourhood First policy continues:
Bhutan remains a top recipient (₹2,288 crore)
Increased aid for Nepal, Sri Lanka & Mauritius
🚄 Infrastructure & Industry
7 new high-speed rail corridors announced (including Mumbai–Pune, Hyderabad–Bengaluru).
⛏️Rare Earth Mineral Corridors planned in Odisha, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu to secure critical minerals.
🧑🏻🔬Chemical manufacturing boost: 3 chemical parks planned in every state.
🎨 Soft Power & Creative Economy
New content creation labs to promote the “Orange Economy” (media, gaming, digital content).
💰 Taxes
No new taxes
No changes in income tax slabs
👉 Overall, Budget 2026 focuses on national security, strategic autonomy, infrastructure growth, and global positioning, while keeping the tax burden unchanged.
The Budget 2026-27 attempts to balance Fiscal Consolidation (lowering the deficit) with Growth (higher Capex and infrastructure spend). While income tax slabs remain unchanged, the budget simplifies tax rules via the new Act and provides specific relief on foreign travel TCS, while slightly increasing the tax burden on F&O traders.
