Up in Edinburgh ahead of a few book events at the festival tomorrow. Caught up with two shows … my piping mentor @finlaypiper duet with Estonian piper, and then The Sex Lives of Puppets! Both brilliant in very different ways. Sex Puppets heading to Southwark Playhouse soon
“Dark Noon” at St. Ann’s Warehouse had me at human tumbleweed. I don’t like Westerns, mostly, but “Dark Noon” is a terrific Western, and a gut-punch powerful retelling of American history.
What is the core message of Dark Noon? 🇺🇸
Editor of @BritTheatreGuid David Chadderton caught up with co-directors Tue Biering and Nhlanhla Mahlangu to hear about the origins of the show, examining the deeper meanings behind the mind-blowing theatrical experience.
Dark Noon runs for a limited time at Aviva Studios until Sunday 10 March.

A sneak peak of Dark Noon at Aviva Studios... 👀
Last night's opening show received a standing ovation from a packed audience.
Dark Noon is a brutal reimagining of the history of America and the savagery of the Wild West.
Just seen this absolute gem at @factoryintl . Dark Noon critiques the whitewashing of the history of the US frontier in an approachable, refreshing, deeply clever, and at times humorous way. The most engaging, impactful play I have seen in years.
