Negative examples are extremly valuable. It's much better to know that a reaction doesn't work than know nothing!
Reporting negative examples should be strongly encouraged, just need to find a way to share these results efficiently... happy to see @JOC_OL initiating the debate!

As an author, it is hard to put lots of negative examples into a paper because of fear reviewers will not be positive. But what about putting tables of unsuccessful substrates in the SI? #OLAskTheEditor
