Lucy, spreading this kind of disinformation is genuinely dangerous.
It’s a matter of public record that Keir Starmer wasn’t the reviewing lawyer on those specific grooming gang cases (such as Rochdale).
As Director of Public Prosecutions he was in charge of the CPS, but he didn’t personally decide on every individual case.
In fact, during his time as DPP from 2008 to 2013, he made major changes to how the CPS handles sexual violence and child abuse.
He introduced the first ever national guidelines on prosecuting child sexual abuse in 2013 , described at the time as the biggest shift in a generation.
Prosecutors were told to focus on the credibility of the allegation itself, rather than whether the victim was a “perfect witness”.
This directly helped overcome the myths that had been failing victims for years.
He also moved to a more victim-centred approach, reopened dropped cases, and by the time he left the CPS had record numbers of child sex abuse prosecutions.
He appointed Nazir Afzal, who overturned some of the earlier failed decisions in Rochdale.
Rather than repeating debunked claims, it would be better to look at the actual reforms he brought in to better protect victims.
Facts matter, even when they don’t fit someone’s narrative.
Would you like an early Christmas present?
Would you like these pin badges?
All you have to do is RT this tweet & I will select a winner one week from today.
Good Luck.
The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after.
And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before.
If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from Father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early, you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too.
Saw this & thought I'd repost.
We all know why Nigel Farage is accusing Labour of inciting violence against him while cutting his security. Because if he didn’t, people might remember to ask him who paid for his house in Clacton and why does he hang around with people who take bribes from Russians.

Nobody is trying to take away your flag, or your fried breakfast. But the people telling you this do want to lower your wages, take away your work rights, make you work till your 70+ and privatise your NHS. It’s business for them, & they are using your anger to maximise profits
It really is the end of an era. No more @itvcycling at @LeTour. No more @GeraintThomas86 (apart from Tour of Britain of course). Thank you for all the amazing memories. It's been a brilliant Tour, tinged with sadness at all the goodbyes.
Last few days of @LeTour on @itvcycling. A huge thank you @nedboulting @millarmind@Petekennaugh@mrendell@friebos and of course Gary for so many years of absolutely brilliant coverage. I'm so sad that its coming to an end that even the theme tune makes me 😢.
