I was TERRIFIED for my surgery rotation. I feared the early wakeups, long surgeries, and “mean attendings”.

But yesterday, I was 1 of 6 in my class awarded the Silver Scalpel Award for outstanding clinical performance+shelf score >95th percentile.

Lesson learned: I CAN do it!
