I am writing these words to you from inside Gaza City, and I say this with complete honesty: the situation has become extremely dangerous, perhaps worse than ever before.

Temperatures continue to rise, and the tents have turned into real ovens. More than 170,000 tents across Gaza City are sheltering thousands of families in conditions that are impossible to describe. Inside these tents, temperatures exceed 50°C (122°F). There is no electricity, no fans, no air conditioning, and none of the basic necessities needed to survive.

The tents are packed tightly together, with almost no space between them. Many families are forced to leave their tents and sit in the streets because remaining inside has become unbearable.

Water is desperately scarce, and the extreme heat is making thirst even more severe. And this is only the beginning of summer. Every day, I see the effects of the intense heat on children’s bodies heat rashes, exhaustion, and suffering while insects emerging from the ground make life even harder.

The coming days could be even more devastating if these conditions continue. The tents are no longer places of shelter; they have become another source of danger.

Please don’t let these families be forgotten. Speak about them. Write about them. Share their stories with others. Keep their voices alive and let the world know what is happening. Behind every tent is a family struggling to survive.

They need to be seen, they need to be heard, and they need your solidarity.

Btw, the latest Niti Ayog report says -

For UP's estimated 24.35 crore people, the number of H.S. schools - only 12,164. 🔥

UP is among the country's poorest-performing states in technology-enabled learning infrastructure - Only 19.8% of schools in the state have functional smart classrooms. 🔥

UP has a record of 9,508 single-teacher schools enrolling nearly 6.24 lakh students. Meanwhile, over 81,800 teacher posts are lying vacant. 🔥

The UP state Govt runs only 36 universities and have 35 pvt universities (For a population of 24 Crores).

Among those 35 private universities, Mohammad Ali Jauhar University (recognised by the UGC), with approximately 3,000 students, 16 depts, 14 faculties and institutes, 55 academic staff, and nearly 1,000 employees, 38 of its 40 buildings are going to be demolished by the UP Govt soon. 🔥

Also UP's primary school GER (Gross Enrolment Ratio) has crashed from 112% to 83.1% in a decade - among India's steepest declines. 🔥

Nearly 2 lakh children studying in 3,890 schools across UP are facing a potential safety risk as 11,000-volt high-tension power lines pass over their buildings or premises. 🔥

In these circumstances, the new lotus-shaped Assembly will not only solve all the problems of education, but also health, roads, and everything else. ☺️

They knew exactly who Mona Khalil was.

They knew the bright orange house in Mansouri, south Lebanon. They knew it was not a military site, not a command center, not a battlefield position. It was one of the most recognizable symbols of environmental conservation on Lebanon's southern coast; a sanctuary dedicated to protecting endangered sea turtles and preserving life.

Mona spent her years defending the most vulnerable creatures of the Mediterranean, teaching generations that every life matters, that nature is not a casualty to be discarded, and that humanity has a duty to protect what cannot protect itself.

Yet the same orange house that stood as a beacon of conservation became a target for terrorist Israel.

This was an assault on a woman whose life's work was devoted to safeguarding life itself. A woman known internationally for her environmental activism, whose name had become synonymous with the protection of Lebanon's coastline and its endangered sea turtles.

The murder of Mona Khalil sends a chilling message: even those whose only weapon is compassion, whose only mission is preservation, are not spared.
