Imran Khan has always placed state responsibility above personal or party interests. In these sensitive circumstances, with the region engulfed in escalating conflict, his position has remained clear, balanced, and grounded in the national interest. He has consistently prioritised diplomatic engagement and conveyed an unequivocal message: Pakistan is ready to play its role for peace, but it cannot become part of another war.
Today, Pakistan needs that same foresight, courage, and balanced judgment. The world expects a responsible, peace-loving Pakistan, and Pakistan needs leadership that carries the trust of its people. Imran Khan must be released immediately, because only a leader with a public mandate can make the right and courageous decisions in difficult times. That is the national interest, and that is the need of the hour.

International Community Raises Voice Over Imran Khan Medical Treatment.
In particular, we urge human rights organizations to raise their voice for Imran Khan.

Our demand has been clear from the beginning: Imran Khan has to be examined and treated by specialist doctors in the presence of his personal doctor (Dr. Asim Yousaf) along with a family member present at Shifa International in Islamabad.
The Govt rejected the specialist recommended by our doctors, so they were provided with alternative names. We had given Dr. Uzma Khan’s name to represent our family. We were told that Imran Khan’s sisters will not be permitted and we must provide an alternative name to represent the family. We then gave them our cousin Dr. Nausherwan Burki’s name to represent the family. We are very disturbed when they rejected his name as well.
This is unacceptable! Our concerns are growing as to WHY are they rejecting our family member to be present? Are both names (Dr. Uzma and Dr. Nausherwan) being rejected because they are highly qualified doctors?
It is a matter of great urgency, a medical emergency, the former prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan is facing right now. I would like to bring this matter into the attention of the Honourable Prime Minister, key human rights bodies including Amnesty International UK and Human Rights Watch UK, the Commonwealth Secretariat, and prominent institutions of the European Union. My name is Umair, and I speak today from the platform of Ababeel, an independent human rights organisation founded by dedicated social media volunteers and activists. We are ordinary Pakistanis in the diaspora, committed to defending fundamental rights and justice. Many of us, including our founder Aladeen and supporters like myself, face transnational repression from Pakistan's military regime under General Asim Munir. Threats, harassment, and attempts to silence our voices simply for advocating truth and democracy. We urgently bring to your attention this grave medical emergency:
Pakistan's former Prime Minister and PTI leader, Imran Khan, who has been arbitrarily detained for over 900 days in harsh conditions.Reliable reports, including a fact-finding submission to Pakistan's Supreme Court by his lawyer Salman Safdar, confirm that Imran Khan has suffered severe vision loss in his right eye. He now retains only 15% vision, meaning an 85% loss due to a diagnosed blood clot causing right central retinal vein occlusion. This condition began with persistent blurred and hazy vision since October 2025, but jail authorities ignored his repeated pleas for specialist care for over three months, leading to sudden and potentially irreversible damage. This is not mere neglect, it constitutes cruel, inhuman treatment in violation of international standards, including the United Nations Nelson Mandela Rules on the treatment of prisoners, which prohibit prolonged solitary confinement, denial of medical access, and conditions risking health deterioration. Imran Khan, a philanthropist, climate advocate, and elected leader, remains in isolation, without family contact, proper sunlight, or adequate care, despite court directives for urgent examination by February 16, 2026. PTI continues protests demanding his personal doctors' access and immediate treatment to prevent further harm. We call on the UK Government, Prime Minister, Commonwealth, EU bodies, and all human rights defenders to:
Urgently intervene diplomatically for independent medical evaluation and specialist treatment for Imran Khan.
Press for transparency, an end to medical neglect, and his unconditional release to safeguard his life and rights.
Hold the Pakistani authorities accountable for these violations of basic human rights.
Silence in the face of such injustice risks complicity. The world is watching, act now to prevent irreversible tragedy.
