Surviving traders understand how thin real edge really is. It’s there in the data everyone can access otherwise it’s not sustainable. So your not going to gain an edge by discovering a mysterious method. The mystery is in you. Discover it now.
if you had one last trade left, how would you trade?
would you follow your favorite CT influencer?
or would you chase the hottest beta in the market?
or would you trade the 5-minute timeframe, hoping to swing it for a home run?
or would you waste it on random impulsive moves driven by your emotions?
seriously, what would you do?
. . .
a few months ago, i bought my first $100k on-chain prop funding account with @HypernovaX
with expectations way too high, i traded impulsively and got stopped out repeatedly, bringing my equity down to -5.3%
a mere 0.7% away from breaching the account...
i had one last trade left
and i decided to wait until something came along that was truly worth risking what little i had left
i started looking at weekly charts instead of doomscrolling CT and found that the $PUMP chart looked very interesting. it had been forming a clear base while other alts had already lost their structure
that prompted me to dig deeper into what people on CT thought about it. and to my surprise, it was very quiet
there were some accounts bullposting about its revenue and buybacks, but hardly any big accounts were mentioning it
sometime later, the price started breaking down
and big accounts started shittalking about how unsustainable its business was and how harmful it was to the space
at that point, my directional bias was still pretty neutral, if not slightly bearish in the short term
on one hand, it was generating significant revenue. on the other hand, people were questioning whether its business model was sustainable
maybe it was this contradiction that kept me interested in following it
then something interesting happened...
price started climbing back, reclaimed the previously broken support, and closed very strong
and now big accounts like @blknoiz06 and @Pentosh1 started bullposting it
that was the inflection point for me -- my HTF bias turned bullish, and i thought it was the perfect moment to enter
> with all the attention it had been getting recently, if price failed to hold the reclaimed level, i'd know my thesis was wrong
> the on-chain environment was gaining traction, and the protocol was still generating revenue. there were also clear upside targets ahead, including the ICO price
> most importantly, the market had been divided on how to value it for so long, creating the potential for a major repricing
it turned out to be one of the best asymmetric trades i've taken in crypto so far
not only was it an A+ setup, but the process that led me to the entry was A+ too
> there was a lot of observing with an open mind, without leaning too heavily in either direction, and patiently waiting for the right moment without knowing when or even if it would come
> there was a lot of ignoring short-term moves and passing on other opportunities, allowing me to be available when this trade finally came along
i can't expect every trade to fill at my desired entry and trend nicely toward my targets like this one did
but this is the blueprint for how i want to approach trading and refine my edge going forward
a process of observing and waiting for the right moment
this is what i would trade if i had one last chance left

📝 short performance review | late Aug - Sep 2026
not a good month despite favorable market conditions. i netted around +1.8%, despite being up ~3% twice during the period.
here's what i learned:
1. always take profits at key levels, no matter how bullish you are on the HTF.
2. let the remaining winners run. don't let short-term price action or recent performance steer you away from the original plan.
3. only take A+ setups that check every box. don't let unrealized pnl give you false confidence that you can predict the future.
these are things i've known for a long time, but when expectations get too high, i can get irrational.
anyway, let's move on and do the right things next time!
