Beef on the menu. Jinnah and Gandhi inside. What message is Kashi Hotel in Fort Kochi trying to send? Provocation or a calculated attempt to inflame tensions?

Secularism is not a one-way street. Keralam cannot allow appeasement politics to normalise divisive symbols or radical agendas.

To the IUML: Keralam is NOT Pakistan, nor will it ever be. Kerala will NOT surrender to radical extremists or fringe forces.

Enough of double standards. 🇮🇳

Breaking: India's 7.8% GDP is so powerful it crashed the Chinese market for 10 straight weeks too! 😂

[BJP KERALAM @BJP4Keralam]

No industries. A broken higher education system. Malayali youth forced to migrate to other states or the Gulf just to survive.

Keralam has become a graveyard of aspirations, thanks to decades of Left and Congress politics.

Yet, look at CM VD Satheesan’s top priority: rolling out the red carpet for the launch of Congress’s next prince in Keralam.

AN URGENT APPEAL TO INDIA’S BROADCASTING REGULATORS: WHO WILL HOLD THE MEDIA ACCOUNTABLE?

@MIB_India @HMOIndia @PressCouncil_IN @AmitShah @PMOIndia @DelhiPolice @DCPNewDelhi @DcpNorthDelhi @DCPNEastDelhi @DCPSouthDelhi @drtpsenkumar @sdinny14 @LiveLawIndia

To the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, law-enforcement authorities, and all concerned regulatory bodies in India:
Is freedom of the press a licence to spread unverified claims, distort facts, create public anxiety, and potentially mislead millions of viewers without accountability?
The repeated dissemination of allegedly baseless or misleading reports, particularly those capable of frightening young people and students or provoking public anger against the government, deserves serious scrutiny. Journalism should inform citizens, not manufacture fear, confusion, or instability.
Yes, the media has every right to criticise the government. Question the ruling party. Expose failures. Challenge those in power. That is the very essence of democracy. But criticism must be grounded in facts, evidence, and responsible journalism—not speculation, selective presentation, or the distortion of information.
Many media organisations are accused of political bias. But when a channel claims to stand for “Consistently, Fearlessly, and Truthfully”, shouldn't its standards be even higher?
CONSISTENTLY creating fear, FEARLESSLY spreading questionable claims, and TRUTHFULLY abandoning the very principles it claims to uphold—is this what journalism has come to mean?
Furthermore, if reports concerning the ownership, funding, or political affiliations of a media organisation raise questions about potential conflicts of interest, shouldn't those concerns be examined transparently by the appropriate authorities? No media organisation should be above scrutiny because of its influence or connections.
Perhaps commercial interests dominate the owner's priorities. But does that excuse an organisation with decades of history from abandoning its journalistic principles?
I therefore urge the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the Press Council of India, and the appropriate law-enforcement authorities to examine specific instances of potentially misleading reporting, assess compliance with applicable broadcasting standards, and take appropriate action wherever violations are established.
This is not a demand to silence the media or protect the government from criticism. It is a demand to protect citizens from misinformation and to uphold accountability, transparency, and responsible journalism.

A DEMOCRACY NEEDS A FEARLESS MEDIA—but a fearless media must also be truthful, accountable, and independent.

If a media organisation cannot substantiate its claims, who will question it? If misleading reports create public panic, who will be held accountable? And if political influence compromises editorial independence, who will investigate?

The public deserves answers. The Constitution deserves respect. Journalism deserves integrity.

The examples shared here, along with their English translations, are only a few illustrations of the channel’s reporting style. While these instances may not appear particularly serious in isolation, my concern is that such tactics are routinely used in its everyday news coverage.

I urge the authorities to examine this broader pattern of potentially misleading reporting, sensationalism, and distortion of facts, and take appropriate action wherever violations are established.

Press freedom is vital, but it must never become a license to mislead the public.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has advised all private satellite TV channels to strictly comply with the Programme Code, warning that violations may invite action under the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995. Channels have been asked to ensure responsible reporting, avoid live coverage of anti-terror operations, exercise caution with violent visuals, protect sexual offence victims’ identities, use authentic maps of India and prevent communal or anti-national content. The advisory also calls for caution in using AI tools and stronger editorial oversight.
