Hello, @RepJoshG and @RepStefanik, I am asking you to please reconsider your support for #HR8250, which requires everyone to give their date of birth before they can use a computer. Instead of protecting #children, they can be harmed when the next data breach occurs.
Hello, @CAgovernor, I am asking you to please reconsider your support for #AB1043, which requires everyone to give their date of birth before they can use a computer. Instead of protecting #children, they can be harmed when the next data breach occurs.
A new law in Congress,#HR8250, is now being considered where you are required to put in your date of birth to even use a computer! Afterwards, any app or website can then know your age. Here's a video that breaks down everything: https://t.co/XNPNsxLfmr
Fun #math trick: The modern #Olympics were created in 1896 and every 4-year period between the games is known as an olympiad. We are in the 33rd olympiad, which you can calculate by doing the following:
1896 + (4 * 32) = 2024
So, that's the 1st Olympics + 32 games = 33 games.
We are excited to announce the launch of OpenTofu, an open source alternative to Terraform's widely used infrastructure as code provisioning tool.

Fun #Fact: The U.S. cannot have more than 1 billion legal residents, living or dead, as the #SSN (Social Security Number) system only supports that many values. A person's SSN stays with them forever, even after they die.
@Sixteen_Tons But, that would only temporarily guard white's king. Instead, if you moved the white queen to A8 (Qxa8+) to take black's rook which causes a check, it would force the other black rook to move to D8 (Rd8). Afterwards, the white quuen could take that 2nd black rook for checkmate.
@itsfoss Packages are not always more secure unless they have been digitally-signed and hosted in a legit repo that scans for malware, too. Old-school tarballs use the shell script install process, but if the code has been signed and hosted on a legit site, it is likely safe.
To verify the #GPG signature for #LibreOffice install files, their public key may be found here (as other keyservers didn't have it):
$ gpg --keyserver https://t.co/GmGbwv6jDI --recv-keys AFEEAEA3
But, I wish @LibreOffice would post their signing key on their website publicly.
