@Tristen_Smith12 the only actresses who got next up are ones showing boobies. first movie gets them in the door, to stay fans either gotta see mastery in acting and story or boobies.
@kingcatkeyon@Variety@CNN That's because she gives off vibes of someone who grew up rich, but in pretty much every interview she tries to sound like an underdog without being one. She sounds like a movie that tells but doesn't show. That's just as annoying as Jerry Seinfeld being arrogant all the time.
@urmuddaxx@THR Reese Witherspoon who I started with is not sexualized and is in same age group as this one, same with Natasha Lyone. They create their own opportunities. Again, she can have fun complaining like a princess, but still, nothing will happen on it's own. So who loses in the end.
@urmuddaxx@THR Another example... Euphoria had a bunch of actresses but only Zendaya had a typical career growth out of it, the other is Sweeney... But even Sweeney who is lusted after, has to obsessively look for scripts to pitch herself so she can work. Don't do nothing and nothing happens.
@urmuddaxx@THR Movie funding comes from outside movie system, nothing is easy. Again, she can feel like she is owed but she's not and if she doesn't create her own opportunities, it's her loss. Nobody else will care more than her. New actresses come up every day, and the industry don't care.
@urmuddaxx@THR Playing a pretty woman and grandma are not the only options. Also, fans like her in stuff she does. That can get a script financed if she didn't look down on them. And how is that different from how you say industry treats women. Brad Pitt has had a hand in making his movies.
@urmuddaxx@THR Well, it's not anyone's job to create opportunities for those actors either. So, they don't get to complain. Movies are like food trucks, usually the operator starts it. Most movies before they are pitched actors have to be attached. But she complains about unfinanced scripts.
