@Jainadave_ Once I learned that I could make hard boiled eggs without boiling them (using an air fryer) it’s been game over. I make jammy eggs/hard boiled eggs all the time now
@ravenunreal It’s niche now which makes it cooler + also a good opportunity to build more genuine connections/community. Just started using it again tho idk if I’ll be able to stick to it lmao
@Devsthetix That’s usually the most stubborn area for most people. We all have a little extra fat there to protect our internal organs but that doesn’t mean it can’t be reduced. The leaner you get the less margin of error you have, so to lose that last bit of fat you have to be super dialed
do what most people are not willing to do & stay consistent with the basics:
- track your food & stick to a whole food diet
- daily step goal
That’s enough to get started and lose weight alone. If you want to look lean/toned then there’s more that goes into it.
I feel like twitter/X is niche now which makes me want to start using it again. How do I end up on fitness twitter & start building a community? :D
In this post, I share something I consider very precious. It’s an inseparable part of who I am today.
It anchors me during tough times of injustice, helplessness, or existential exhaustion.
Eleven to twelve years ago, I left Islam. I spent a year or two rejecting any divine existence. Then I wondered: Are we truly alone? Is this all there is? What if my reaction was shaped by what Islam taught me? What if a willful God exists, but I’m too sensitive to another Allah that ruined spirituality for me?
Long story short, I was introduced to Jesus through a random Facebook song. It triggered something in me. I didn’t know it was Christian or about Jesus. The band looked like hippies; my view of Christians was limited to hymns and priests in colorful clothes. These people were different.
I researched it, learned it was Christian, and commented, “I’m not a believer, but this is a great song.” The producer replied, “Maybe it’s time for you to believe.”
We talked. I didn’t accept everything, but it pushed me deeper, and he taught me a lot.
One Saturday afternoon, after struggling with faith, he sent a live sermon. The preacher said Jesus came for all people of all nations. That was the tip of the iceberg. I decided to identify with Jesus. He was joyful when I told him.
The first two weeks of believing felt transcending. My soul was restored. Nothing else mattered. I was in wonder, eyes glazed, every breath refreshing. As an extrovert, the change in my energy and behavior was clear.
Many former Muslims who leave Islam and find Jesus share similar experiences. Self-induced hypnosis or spiritual awakening?
My view of the world has changed. I am loved, claimed, and cared for, with a personal relationship with the Divine as a son. No longer a slave of Allah out of fear, I am a son of God, my Heavenly Father, out of willful love.
It’s one hell of a change in reality.
@JohnnyWhiskyTX I was raised Muslim and left that religion. I barely survived sharia apostasy death sentencing. I couldn’t stay silent.
I traveled to TX’s Collin County to let them know the TRUTH. Check it out. WAKE UP Texans!!
@realMaalouf I went to Quranic school growing up, then I left Islam later on. Let me tell you what it’s like.
It is TRAUMATIC AF — I used to have panic attacks and stomach cramps out of FEAR before going in there, it’s how they turn generations of little boys into angry vengeful men.
