At 36, Cecilia Akpene Yevu weaves kente in Kpetoi with remarkable precision, despite being blind. After losing her sight, she turned to weaving, relying on memory and touch, with help from her 10-year-old son Ernest, who became her eyes.
Today, she produces several yards of kente each day, identifying colours by touch. Akpene Yevu continues to weave hope and resilience, one thread at a time...
