Be so damn proud of yourself for surviving the darkest days on your own, especially when everyone around you thought you were okay. No one saw the battles you fought in silence, but you know how hard it was to keep going when you were barely holding yourself together.
The University of Nairobi has been declared technically insolvent due to Sh20 billion in debt.
The debt is linked to reduced government funding, high operating costs and unpaid bills, including staff pensions

A 2000cc motor slapped with a giant supercharger for low end torque; instead of the spark plug igniting the fuel, compression on the cylinder does the igniting
Weirdly enough, if you go to the Magadi area, it's the marginalisation from the government that has affected people there more. The small modernisations they have,it's due to Tata company(e.ghospitals). They are not connected to the electric grid,no roads, barely any govt service
Those of us born in the 90s grew up picking money off the road from time to time. I can’t remember the last time I picked money. Is it because I’m tall & far away from the ground, or because we transact with our phones almost all the time, or because there’s simply no money?
People from Kiminini! Please help!. This Margret from kiminini Tranzioa. She was staying at Lower Kabete a place called Gathiga. She was sick on Monday, taken to mbagathi hospital and afterwards referred to Kenyatta national hospital. She died Wednesday morning. She left behind three children, Daniel Wafula, Naomi and Gift. At the moment she's at Kenyatta. The children are alone.. they don't know any relative. Kindly anyone who knows the family to assist in letting them know!
I recently did an experiment. I cheated in a monopoly game. I wanted to examine the extent to which undue advantage such as embezzlement/inheritance influenced economic outcomes relative to chance and initiative. I ended up building 2 hotels before the others could build a house (CAPITAL ACCUMULATION).
It got to a place where, I stopped accepting rent from players that landed in the hotels. I instead offered to wipe away their debt in exchange for their land, which was sometimes only a quarter of the debt owed (ASSET-PRICE INFLATION).
The other players could not outbid me for the land as the owner owed me too much (BARGAINING/MARKET POWER).
The more land I got, the more I built. I was barely using the money I had. If I landed in their owned properties, the other players were more willing to overlook what I owed them because after every round I awarded each of them about $50 just to keep them in check (SOCIAL CAPITAL).
And every time I did, I sang about how generous I was (POLITICAL LEGITIMACY).
By the end of it, I owned all land. Had 5 hotels, across 5 prime lands (ASSET CONCENTRATION).
I came to the conclusion that unless by some miracle, you cannot outwit a flawed economic system. Undue advantage has a better compounding influence on positive economic outcomes than initiative and chance (OUTLIERS).
I don’t even know how to write this without my heart breaking.
Little Brianna Lovely Nyawira, a tiny play-group pupil at Blessings View in Kiangai, was taken from Miiri PCEA Church while she was quietly having her porridge.
CCTV shows a woman in a red kofia approaching her, taking her hand, and walking out of the church with her like it was the most normal thing in the world.
Her father, Antony Maina, has been raising her alone with his mother after he and Brianna’s mother separated. He has been her whole world… and now he doesn’t know where that world is.
The police at Miiri Police Post and Karatina Police Station already have the report. The family is desperate. They are scared. They are tired. And somewhere deep down, there is a quiet, painful possibility that the person who walked away with their child might not be a complete stranger.
Please… if you were at Miiri PCEA Church that day, if you recognise the woman in the red kofia, if you have seen a little girl matching Brianna’s description anywhere around Karatina, Kiangai, Gatura, Miiri or the surrounding areas — speak up. Quietly. Safely. Contact the police or call:

Do not confront anyone. Just share what you know so this child can come home without more harm.
Brianna is not just a missing child.
She is somebody’s entire heart walking around without her father.
Please keep sharing this
