She made a big deal out of a simple ask. I still invite my mom friends to trips and events even if I know the answer might be no because I don’t want them to think I’ve forgotten about them even if they are parents now. Sometimes they can make it work sometimes not. But if I ever saw that my friend was making it a big deal online like this it’ll be the last invite she gets to anything.

My friend wants to plan a couples, no-kids weekend getaway, splitting the cost of a large AirBNB, in January for her 30th birthday. I really do not love this idea (husband is mortified), neither to spend the money nor to get someone to take the toddler for 3 days. It would be a 2.5 hour drive away for us, too, so it’s not like we’re close if something happens. I haven’t been away from him for even 1 night yet and he still just seems so young! It would be very hard to leave him for that long.

Am I just a party pooper who needs to get over it? Genuine question. Like I actually need advice here guys

They were really gonna send me home without checking because “it’s unlikely for you to have blood clots in both legs in the same spot”“You’re already on blood thinners, you shouldn’t have a clot” completely ignoring the fact that I had to go off them for 4 days for my icd surgery

2 days of being in this hospital advocating for myself. 2 days of begging them to just do the ultrasound. Finally the doctor orders the ultrasound so he can discharge me but guess what….. he can’t because I have MULTIPLE clots in BOTH legs. ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF
