On March 28th 2025 @justacamel successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation titled "Hybrid cavity-plasmon mode engineering with electrons on helium". Congrats Dr. Mikolas!!

Cool new paper published today in @NatureComms about our work on engineering plasmon modes in electrons on helium: https://t.co/gCButfhPby This work was led by the illustrious Dr. @justacamel and @niyaz655 along with @Decheesua.
@LHQS paper on surface phonon decoherence just appeared in @PhysRevA! This work was led by the "Cheese Monster" aka @Decheesua along with @joekitzman and @justacamel. https://t.co/w8TqvNRVt0
After five years of quantum advantage claims and challenges, I needed to sort things out in my head. The result is a review article "A brief history of quantum vs classical computational advantage" which I hope is useful to experts and non-experts alike: https://t.co/DmufXbOAkS
we finished up this semester’s MSU QuIC seminars today with a bunch of fun “QuICk Talks”. several people gave fun quick 2 minute talks on various QIS-related topics. Our co-organizer Jared Weidman however won, giving his entire talk with subway surfer gameplay in parallel.
New preprint from EeroQ (@QCHardware) in collab with @UChicago and @Stanford where we study high-impedance resonators for strong coupling to an electron on helium, with quantum computing as a potential use case. Work led by Dr. Gerwin Koolstra of EeroQ.

OTD in 1988, Kirk Gibson hit this legendary home run in Game 1 of the World Series with Vin Scully on the call 🎙️
Check out this cool new paper on surface phonon decoherence in quantum acoustic systems by @Decheesua and collaborators @justacamel, @joekitzman, & @unhappyfinn. https://t.co/bHj0a9Z9J6
