This funding of arms manufacturers, likely in violation of international law, comes at the expense of our communities in Scotland. This money can be reallocated to support initiatives working within and for our communities. We mention this below: https://t.co/8KB3hHGyz7
✍️ We wrote in today's @ScotNational on the need for Scottish ministers to urgently review Scottish Enterprise funding for arms companies, especially in light of @amnesty's report on the genocide in Gaza.
We cannot risk being complicit in these crimes.

We have joined a coalition of grassroots and community groups in writing to ScotGov to demand an end to tokenisation of our communities. We are asking for:
➡️Genuine participatory governance
➡️Our voices to be listened to
➡️Our time, efforts & energy to be respected
With the cost-of-living crisis, access to justice issues, & eco-injustice, it's time for urgent action and genuine community involvement in policymaking.
From consultations to advisory boards, our communities are engaging- but they are not being listened to. Trust is eroding.
The Rwanda Bill is back in the Commons. We want to be absolutely clear that this shameful legislation is not in our name.
Refugee rights are human rights. No one should be banished to Rwanda, or anywhere else, against their will.

There’s still time to register for tomorrow’s event, ‘A Human Rights Bill for Scotland for All’ launching our new report on migrants’ contributions to the Scottish Human Rights Bill consultation: https://t.co/D5ycRspyXO
