Aaron Bennet was sentenced to 380 days in jail/360 suspended- 20 days served and is currently serving 2 years probation for reckless discharge of a firearm and exposure of animal carcass. Jury trial for civil case is scheduled for 10/30/23 in Boise, ID.

Matthew Vraspir was sentenced to 180 days in jail/175 suspended-5 days served, he’s currently serving 2 years probation for throwing Stanley's body from Star bridge- “exposure of an animal carcass”. Matt Vraspir is has settled the civil case against him.

Matt Vraspir threatened to sue on false premises the day after it was discovered Stanley was shot. He continued to lie about any involvement in the incident as he ran for Star Idaho City Council. Aaron Bennett admitted this affidavit he signed was false and Matt was later charged

Regarding Matt Vraspir & Aaron Bennett throwing Stanley off Star bridge after being shot/killed & the affects of this incident: Motion was filed in Supreme Court in case against Vraspir & Bennett. Once motion is heard public jury trial will be scheduled for Ada County Courthouse

Update: Matt Vraspir and Aaron Bennett pleaded guilty to misdemeanor animal exposure of a carcass for throwing Stanley’s body off the Star bridge and into the river. Bennett also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor reckless discharge of a firearm for shooting and killing Stanley.

LIES from Matt Vraspir! He was present during the shooting, assisted Aaron Bennett in the cover up, cut up the carpeting to roll Stanley in it, and throwing him off the bridge in the river. He later withdrew this statement and withdrew from the race for City Council of Star, ID.
