Finally, in February 2022 the government of Cameroon began to ratify the African Disability Protocol, showing acknowledgment of these issues, but there has yet to be any meaningful reform in how those with disability are treated and assisted.
The Anglophone Crisis has been detrimental to several Cameroonians and has severely affected the lives of people with disabilities as their needs in this crisis are not at all being prioritized or even discussed.
