Paper Mono!

sooo excited to finally release our free and beautiful mono font

it works incredibly well for design, coding, and even prose, and it’s packed with features: variable font weight, coding ligatures, duospacing (!) for long-form text, and more.

sound on:

That's what I call is a very unique design. Well executed (you might not like it or find it useful, and that's ok).

Also, David @dwhilldesign is one of my favorite accounts lately. A friend suggested it to me, and if you're into industrial design, it's a must follow.

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Lionel Messi has finished his final training session with Argentina.

He will never be seen on the training pitch for Argentina again after today.

And so the entire staff and squad was on the pitch to take a last picture with him there. 🇦🇷🩵

@jasonfried This looks awesome. Is there somewhere it can be accessed? Would love to play with it.

[Jason Fried @jasonfried]

For years, maybe a decade, I've wanted to build a writing tool that just did a few things I couldn't find anywhere else.

A system that mimicked how I think when I write. A system that provided clear affordances, features, and places to do the things I wanted to do. A way to play with my writing as I'm writing it. A way to settle into just the right way to say something.

It never made sense to make it a 37signals product because it's not commercially viable, nor would it be worth pulling people off their other work to hack on this. Plus, it would have taken months the old way.

So this weekend I just made it myself, with Claude's help.

It's called Write_On and the short video walks you through it.

Essentially it's "alternative control" at the word, sentence, and paragraph level, plus a way to dim stuff back, and stash stuff near by. Not version control, but alternative control. You'll see what I mean when you watch the video below.

So here it is. Write_On.

Turns out when @RBC said they’ll help keep the Reds in the black, they didn’t just mean away kits.

Speed. Teamwork. Half of a beard. All things required for the music video for The Writing's On the Wall. This came together thanks to the work of more than 50 people back in 2014. Here's a peek into all the costume changes, paint-splatters, and straight-up-running that weren't in the final cut.
