first words Sonya Massey said at her front door were “don’t hurt me”
she was told “why would we hurt you, you called us”
when have those words meant anything when your black and woman in this country
when do those words protect you from not being murdered in your kitchen, in your bedroom, with your babies, or on your lawn
what is “reassurance”, in this place ?
rest in power Sonya Massey, and an abundance of love and power to Sonya’s family on this journey
…the King Cake Baby, New Orleans Jazz (1974-1979) trading card, Original Pierre the Pelican, Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pride logo (1979-1981, WBL), New Orleans Hornets (2002-2012), Jose Alvarado
This is far from a comprehensive history but was fun to put together. If I had more than an hour staff meeting to conceptualize and create, I would have featured more players from New Orleans, especially those who played pro ball in N.O. (Robert Pack, Randy Livingston, etc.)
@Larrydn22 Appreciate the work you are doing and this new program, Larry! NOLA Community Fridges also doing great work if you want to check them out:
