Do we admire successful people because of what they’ve accomplished?
Or do we admire successful people because they have accomplished something we believe most people can’t.

Waiting for perfect conditions means that you will arrive late and irrelevant.
A 70% solution executed aggressively now is far superior to a 100% solution executed later.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

Some more thoughts on #leadership v #mentorship
Mentorship matters; tremendous impact when disconnected from the constraints of an organizational bottom line.
If you rely solely upon a boss or company to provide mentorship, you’ll realize but a fraction of your full potential.
Drink up!
If you stay within your department or even your company when seeking mentorship, you’re setting the bar way too low!
#Mentorship opportunities are all around us. We just have to find them. Be proactive and creative in seeking mentorship opportunities.
@EmanThinks You could make an argument that organizational-led mentoring programs only create the conflict at the individual level. What choice does a young professional have?
In promoting the capabilities and successes of your subordinates, you are inherently putting yourself in a positive light. Just have to be conscious enough to take care of others before self, and it still works out in the end.
@EmanThinks The positive paradox is that by promoting those who work for you, you are inherently putting yourself in a positive light. The difference is that you’re now bringing others up with you.
