There aren’t many players who upped their grade more during the 2024 draft process than @GoJacksFB IOL Mason McCormick.

His SDSU career film certainly showed he can play in the NFL. He played primarily left guard (though he’s certainly able to play center in the NFL), he started 57 straight games in his college career.

In exactly 1600 pass snaps in college, he allowed just THREE sacks, and zero in 2023. Elite pass protection consistency across five years and multiple national title runs.

But at the @ShrineBowl, he showed why he’s an immediate, plug and play NFL interior linemen against NFL draft pick I. By all accounts, from both NFL personnel and media in attendance, he was DOMINANT all week long. 📈

Two 🎥 from below.
1) Showcased how efficient he is as a mover and refined in pass protection.

2) At the end of practice, with every player, coach, scout and media watching, playing center for the first time in over 6 years

Then at the NFL Combine, he tested as the 7th most athletic OG EVER, posting elite 40 times, jumps and shuttle drills.

He’s an elite athlete that, because he’s such an efficient and smart mover, doesn’t always need to unleash the athletic skills.

He shares commonality with Quinn Meinerz (former small school IOL who’s elite draft process showed teams his Pro Bowl potential) and Juice Scruggs (2023’s main IOL #ShrineBowl riser after a dominant week who ended up going second round)
