Hear this, O generation that honors God with its lips but not with its life: the commandment “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain” was never about startled exclamations or careless phrases. It was about bearing His name falsely, wearing His identity while walking in rebellion, claiming His covenant while despising His commandments.

For the name of the LORD is not a sound — it is a banner. It is not a syllable — it is a claim of allegiance. To take His name is to take His identity upon yourself, to declare, “I belong to Him.” And to take that name in vain is to live as though that name means nothing.

The prophets cried out against this very thing. “This people draw near Me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour Me, but have removed their heart far from Me.” Isaiah 29:13
The LORD was not offended by their vocabulary. He was offended by their duplicity.
For when a man says, “I follow God,” but walks in hatred, he has taken the LORD’s name in vain. When a woman claims Christ but despises His commandments, she has taken His name in vain. When a nation prints “In God We Trust” while trusting in violence, greed, and pride, it has taken His name in vain.

The commandment was never about the tongue alone — it was about the life. It was never about a moment of speech — it was about a posture of the heart. It was never about accidental words — it was about intentional hypocrisy.
To take His name in vain is to wear His name while rejecting His ways. To take His name in vain is to call Him Lord while refusing His lordship. To take His name in vain is to claim His covenant while breaking His commandments.

And the Spirit still speaks: If you will bear My name, then bear My character. If you will call Me Lord, then walk in My ways. If you will claim My covenant, then honor My commandments.
For the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain — not because of careless speech, but because of covenant betrayal.

7:25 Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.
THERE IS ONLY ONE PRINCE OF PEACE, CHRIST.
BUT SATAN PLAYING THE ROLE OF CHRIST IS COMING TO BRING THE FAKE PEACE TO THIS WORLD.
WE ARE THE GENERATION OF THE FIG TREE.
7:26 Mischief shall come upon mischief (ONE FALSE TEACHING UPON ANOTHER), and rumor shall be upon rumor; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients (THEY ARE BIBLICAL ILLITERATE).
7:27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the People of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts (JUDGMENTS) will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.' "
HE WILL JUDGE THEM ACCORDING TO THEIR WAYS NOT GOD'S. HE IS GOING TO PUNISH THEM FOR NOT FOLLOWING HIS TRUTH.

When God's mighty hand of justice swings, it's beneficial for us to be on our knees praying instead of trying to be in control, so we are out of the way and don't get whacked also. He's much more equipped for battle anyway.

Christ didn’t “choose not to write.” The entire New Testament is the inspired record of what He commanded His apostles and disciples to teach and preserve. The Holy Spirit moved holy men to write it down (2 Peter 1:21). Every book from Matthew to Revelation stands as God’s direct testimony. Jesus Himself constantly appealed to “It is written” — He hammered Scripture as the authority, not some future religious bureaucracy. He didn’t leave a “Catholic Church” with popes, cardinals, and “teaching authority” to lord it over the Bible. He left His elect body of believers who follow the Word.
Your claim that “the Church’s teaching authority left us the Bible” flips reality on its head. The Bible isn’t some product the Roman system manufactured. The apostles and prophets wrote it under the Holy Spirit’s direction before any Roman institution existed. The true church recognized and preserved what God already breathed out — men didn’t create or canonize God’s Word; God did. Claiming the Catholic system “gave” us Scripture is like a librarian bragging they authored the books on the shelf.
This is the same spirit of tradition that Jesus condemned in the Pharisees: “Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition” (Mark 7:13). Your institution piled on pagan rituals, idols, Mary worship, transubstantiation, indulgences, papal infallibility, and a million other add-ons that Scripture never authorized. The Bible warns repeatedly against adding to or taking away from God’s Word (Deuteronomy 4:2, Revelation 22:18-19). That’s exactly what your system did.
The real church isn’t a building in Rome with fancy robes and a hierarchy that exalts itself above the Bible. The church is the called-out ones — the body of Christ — who study to show themselves approved, rightly dividing the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). No pope, no “successors of the apostles” in funny hats, no magisterium gets to override what God said. The apostles warned about false teachers coming in with another gospel (Galatians 1:8-9), and history shows exactly where that led.
You’re not defending Christ’s church. You’re defending a system that turned the simplicity of the Gospel into a Babylonian mystery religion dressed up in Christian clothing. The true elect know better — they stick to the full counsel of God from Genesis to Revelation, chapter by chapter, verse by verse. No traditions of men. No blasphemy calling a man-made institution “His church” while ignoring what He actually commanded us to hold fast to.
Drop the drip. Get into the actual Word. The season is late, and playing religious games while elevating a system over Scripture won’t cut it when the real tests come. God’s truth stands eternal. Your institutional claims do not.

Life is easy when everything is going right but how about when your life starts to fall apart and spiral out of control? That's when you have to lean on Father and Christ regardless of what is happening around you. When Christ says we're going across don't doubt it. Easier said then done sometimes but that's where we strengthen our metal and learn patience. I have to remind myself of this constantly these days but I believe even though He doesn't remove my tribulation He will help me through it and I will come out stronger.

In a world where every slight is viewed in the lense of worst case scenerio, guilty until proven innocent, these words from Paul are a checklist we should all have in our lives when dealing with fellow believers.

Forgiveness sets you free like this, friend —
You’re carrying a heavy backpack full of sharp rocks. Every rock is a hurt, a wrong, a betrayal someone did to you. Those rocks don’t hurt them — they only cut into your shoulders, slow you down, and make every day exhausting. You can’t run, play, or enjoy the sunshine with all that weight crushing you.
Forgiving is when you stop, open the pack, and hand every single rock over to Jesus. You say, “This is too heavy for me — You take it.” Suddenly the backpack is gone. You’re light. You can breathe. You’re free to move again. That’s exactly what forgiveness does for your heart.
Jesus taught it straight: “If ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not… neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15). When we hold onto resentment, we block the mercy we need for our own sins.
That resentment doesn’t live in the person who hurt you — it lives in the carnal mind, the fleshly way of thinking that fights God. “To be carnally minded is death… because the carnal mind is enmity against God” (Romans 8:6-7). We’re not fighting people — “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy loves when we stay chained to old pain. It keeps us from the peace only Christ gives.
Look at Cain and Abel. Cain got “very wroth” because God respected Abel’s offering but not his. Cain brought what his carnal mind thought was good. Abel brought the best, by faith, God’s way. Cain’s resentment turned to murder. He thought from the flesh, and it destroyed him. Abel pleased God. Same choice is in front of us every day.
I’ve watched family members let one sin from 20 years ago rule their whole lives. The person who was wronged ends up in heavier chains — chains of resentment that only Christ can break. You drink poison every day hoping the other person gets sick, while your own life shrinks around that old wound.
But when you forgive from the heart (even if they never repent), you hand the whole mess to the Father. Vengeance is His. You stop swallowing poison. The chains fall off. Peace rushes in. Paul said forgive “in the person of Christ” and “even as Christ forgave you” (Colossians 3:13). It doesn’t mean you pretend it didn’t happen or trust someone who keeps hurting you. It means you release them — and release yourself.
Forgive yourself too. Many take God’s forgiveness but won’t let go of their own guilt. That’s pride in disguise. Repent, receive the blood of Christ, and rise.
Right now, talk to the Lord: “Father, help me forgive like You forgave me on the cross. I give this hurt to You.” Every time the memory comes back swinging, say out loud, “I already handed that to Jesus.” Keep your mind in His Word. The carnal mind loses power when you walk in the Spirit.
You don’t have to carry it anymore, friend. Let it go. Watch how the joy, love, and peace of Christ flood your life when that backpack drops. That’s how forgiving others sets you completely free. The same Jesus who rose from the dead can set your heart free today. He’s faithful. ❤️

You are correct to question this because it does cause much confusion.

If you follow the context of 1 Corinthians Chapter 11 it will make sense.

1 Corinthians 11:3
“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”

Paul is talking about having Christ as the head in your life. But Christ also should cover your head, especially women. That's because of the angels. That will make sense in a second.

1 Corinthians 11:4
“Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.”

So why would having Christ cover your head as a man be a dishonor?

1 Corinthians 11:5
“But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.”

Really bad for a woman not to have her head covered by Christ. And this part about being shaven...they would shave women's hair to shame them so this is a shameful thing apparently.

We'll jump ahead a bit, Paul just talks more about how a man shouldn't cover his head. Not even mentioning hair yet. Not once. Then we have this.

1 Corinthians 11:10
“For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.”

Ok so the woman should have power on her head, covered by Christ and the power of Christ, because of the angels??? What could that mean? These are those fallen angels from Genesis 6 who left heaven to come to earth to basically go after the women of the earth and that resulted in some crazy hybrid nonsense that had to be destroyed.

This led to the flood of Noah. And what are we told about end times?

Luke 17:26-27
“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”

So basically it says the angels are coming back to do the same thing again when they are cast to earth with Satan.

And for that deed they have been locked up until it's time to boot them out.

Jude 1:6
“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

Revelation 12:9
“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

Which takes us back to what about the long hair thing??

It's obvious what Paul is talking about so you can see how men being with the angels would be very shameful being that they are men if you know what I mean. Basically men shouldn't take the place of women in that act and if they are in danger because of the fallen angels I think you know what that means.

And historically it was not common for men to have long hair in that time, not as long as women's hair. But this doesn't mean it's a sin to have long hair.

The heart of this matter is not a calendar or a day—it is an attack on Christ, who is Lord of the Sabbath. The seventh day was never the final reality; it was a shadow, a temporary picture pointing to the true Rest that is found only in Him. That shadow has been fulfilled. Christ has come. To now judge, condemn, or bind other believers in Christ over how they honor that rest in Him is to fight against the very gospel and the liberty He won for us on the cross.
Jesus declared, “The Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath” (Mark 2:28). He healed on the Sabbath, taught that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath, and exposed the hard-hearted legalism that turned a day of blessing into a weapon of accusation. The same spirit is active today when people use the Old Testament commandment to shame Christians who rest wholly in Christ rather than in a literal day.
The New Testament is unmistakable:
Colossians 2:16-17 — “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”
Those sabbath days—including the seventh-day shadow—were nailed to His cross with the rest of the handwriting of ordinances that was against us. The substance has arrived. Our Sabbath is no longer a weekly observance in the flesh; it is Christ Himself, every single day. In Him we cease from our own dead works and enter the true rest of God (Hebrews 4). That rest is entered by faith, not by picking the correct day on the calendar.
Paul directly warns against this very judgment:
Romans 14:5-6 — “One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.”
And in Galatians 4:9-10 he calls turning back to “days, and months, and times, and years” weak and beggarly elements that lead back into bondage.
True Christianity does not rest in a day. It rests in a Person—the Lord Jesus Christ. Our righteousness is not proven by which day we set aside; it is proven by His finished work. We are complete in Him (Colossians 2:10). Anyone who tries to drag believers back under that old shadow is not defending Scripture—they are opposing the freedom Christ purchased and denying that the substance has come.
Christ is Lord of the Sabbath. Stop attacking those who are in Him by demanding they serve a fulfilled shadow. The reality is here—His name is Jesus. Rest in Him alone, fully and freely, every day. That is the New Testament gospel.
