Can't get over the fact that we just learned that Trump secretly shipped COVID testing machines to Vladimir Fucking Putin as hospitals faced shortages & Americans died — arguably the most scandalous revelation about a candidate in history — and our whole free press just shrugged.
Well that's me never supporting or taking part in @NaNoWriMo again. Sure, AI has its uses, but when it comes to creative works there is no AI that has (only) used legally obtained works to train on, and AI is causing mass writing layoffs. Way to be on writers' side 🧐
Fellas is it classist and ableist to condemn the machine that undermines the spirit of human ingenuity, steals from artists to self perpetuate and melts the planet we live on
And most saliently, writing and making games is about NOVELTY. People don't want to see the same old same old, they want new stories, new experiences and new ideas.
AI literally can't do that, they're just taking existing writing memes and putting them into a blender.

Good writing is about nuance. It's got subtext, it's got foreshadowing. And what's more, good writing is SPARSE, so that you, the reader, know what to focus on, and don't get hung up on unnecessary details that detracts from those bread crumbs.
AI is terrible at it.

Not violent: spray paint, setting up tents, standing on a lawn, chanting, recording video, prayer, singing songs, blocking sidewalks
Violent: shooting college students, bombing children, famine, mass graves, shelling aid workers, ethnic cleansing
This is basic stuff here folks
Sometime working social media for a charity means calculating how many children have been killed in Gaza based on the overall death count and known percentages and FUCKING HELL WHY IS THIS BEING ALLOWED WHAT IS THIS WORLD

We no longer require April Fools Day. Every day on the internet is a confusing ordeal of bollocks and mistruths and life is now one giant shitpost so let's just calm down and go have a nap or something.
@HumanOne1999@JustLuai No need to drag me into this (though I will point out that even the concept of nations as we know them today is very, very young)
Sherif Mansour of @PressFreedom: "The Israeli army has killed more journalists in 10 weeks than any other army or entity has in any single year. And with every journalist killed, the war becomes harder to document and to understand.” https://t.co/RF1zF8SY3s
Today's motivational tip: If David Cameron can ruin the country and be famous for fucking a pig and still get invited back into government then you can believe in yourself for a bit.
