If one day you become consistently profitable in trading, remember these 10 things:

1. Don’t tell anyone. Your family won’t suddenly respect your profession. They’ll just ask if income is stable.

2. Don’t think you became smarter. A bull market has fooled better people.

3. Don’t quit your job or main income too fast.

4. Don’t start giving market advice to everyone.

5. Don’t upgrade your lifestyle because one bad quarter can humble years of confidence.

6. Reinvest more than you withdraw.

7. Don’t assume high returns are your new normal.

8. Stay away from revenge trading after your first big drawdown.

9. Keep your routine the same even when profits start coming.

10. Protect your capital more than your ego.
